We install parking lot drains daily
using French Drains, down spout drains, trench drains and
channel drains while also doing our own asphalt repairs. We also
install and repair concrete sewer inlets.
French Drains in Parking Lots
French drains are often used in
parking lot to resolve ground water problems compromising the
rock base and destroying the asphalt prematurely. Typically
constructed with a perforated schedule 40 PVC drain pipe covered
with a drain cloth buried in one inch clean rock.
Channel Drain and Trench Drains
Concrete channel drains and
trench drains are used in parking lots to collect large amounts
of surface water over a wide area. The rain water is routed to a
sewer inlet or manhole using either a 6" inch or 8" inch PVC
drain pipe.
Channel Drain Grates
Parking lot trench drains consist
of several Heavy Duty, or Extra Heavy Duty 15" x 30" grates for
different load ratings based on vehicle traffic. The AASHTO, or
American Association of State and Transpiration Officials
determine the ratings based on vehicle load capacity.
Concrete Sewer Inlets
Sewer inlets are used to collect
surface water in a concentrated area, or low area of a parking lot and connected to a
manhole. MSD manholes are either made of brick ( older style )
or concrete. Manholes are often in need of minor repair when the
sewer inlet needs to be replaced.
